Good news if you need your cable television on your phone, as SlingMedia will be bringing a version of its stellar SlingPlayer application to Android handsets.
SlingMedia put up a page to sign up for notification and most expect the app to hit in the summer. The reports suggest the company is just trying to get the user interface right and there’s no word on how much it will cost. The video above was captured at a GDGT live event in Austin and you can see that the videos have no problem streaming over WiFi or 3G. I’ll be sure to keep an eye on this one.
