Yesterday you may have noticed that OtterBox is going live with new Commuter Series cases for the BlackBerry Curve 8500 real soon. They caught my eye with some new colors for summertime, namely jade green, ardoise slate, red jasper, scapolite gray and zircon blue. This is a far departure from the usual black and grey combo you see on most OtterBox cases… Good on ’em for giving us more choice and a few splashes of color.
In yet another addition to the Commuter Series, OtterBox has announced a similar case for the Motorola DROID (aka Milestone). Unfortunately this one is only available in the standard black, but it does provide remarkable protection for your DROID… Something that you’ll appreciate if you often punt your device through the uprights. The new Commuter Series case features the typical 3-layer ‘system’, with a clear protective film acting as a shield for dust and scratches… followed by a silicone skin, and finally, a hard polycarbonate shell for the ultimate in protection.
