If you recall, we’ve first heard of the Samsung I6500U Saturn (or that’s Galaxy?) back in November 2009, when it got WiFi interoperability certificate. A month later, we said it’s heading to China and now… it’s almost here, as Chinese website 360buy.com is accepting pre-orders for the device. From their website, we learn that it will be available in two colors – white and some dark blue (navy?).
The good thing is that now we have the full specs and are glad to share them with you. The I6500 will come with a 3.2-inch AMOLED HVGA (320×480 pixels) touchscreen, HSDPA and WiFi (Chinese standard is actually called WAPI) connectivity, 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS, 800 MHz processor, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, FM radio, 1500 mAh battery, and of course a microSD memory card slot. Android 2.1 is running the show…
However, we don’t know the exact release date. It’s definitely heading to China Unicom and the current pre-order price is set at 3,399 Yuan which is about $500. As soon as we hear something new, you’ll be the first to know. Stay tuned. 😉
