Are you in Seattle? Are you an AT&T user? Well, you may have noticed that your wireless service through everyone’s favorite carrier has been spotty to non-existent today. We’re seeing reports of network outages in the Seattle area today, requiring phone reboots for some and leaving others without service altogether.
The service disruption is reportedly affecting voice calls, but has apparently been coming back online for some people over the past hour or so. There are reports of people rebooting their mobile phone and getting service restored, so you may want to hit the ‘ole power button on your handset and give it a nice clean restart.
TechFlash says their iPhone in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle is out of commission. Are you experiencing any problems? If so, let us know so that we can get a handle on the extent of the problems out there in the land of coffee and rain.
[Update]
We just got a message from AT&T PR, confirming that there were 3G voice issues this morning that affected some Seattle-area customers. The issues should be resolved by now, and all AT&T voice services in Seattle should be restored. “We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers,” said AT&T.
