Are you headed to the Coachella Music Festival? Well, you’re luckier (and cooler, but that’s neither here nor there) than us. As you relish in your good fortune, you’ll be happy to hear that AT&T will be doing their best to keep you connected at the conference. Big Blue has just announced, via Twitter, that the carrier will be providing free WiFi service for AT&T customers at Coachella. It’s probably a good bet that AT&T’s wireless voice and data network in the area will be getting hit hard during the music festival, so the carrier is making good by ensuring you’ll have internet access through their WiFi setup.
AT&T wasn’t immediately available to comment on whether or not they’ll be boosting cellular service at the festival, but we’ll be sure to let you know if/when they get back to us.
[Update]
AT&T let us know that they’ll be providing “enhanced wireless” at the Coachella Music Festival and will have engineers monitoring the network around the clock. Here’s there response to our requests for additional info:
ATT has enhanced wireless & WiFi at event to provide best possible coverage. Our engineers will monitor network 24/7 throughout event.
