Remember how it seemed like the Motorola Droid 2.1 update took forever? Well, Sprint Android users have been suffering even more but there are signs that this could change in early May, according to leaked screen shots.
The HTC Hero and Samsung Moment are solid handsets, but both rock Android 1.5, which is getting long in the tooth. The Hero’s rocking Sense UI, so it makes sense that we have to wait for HTC to get the software right but the Moment is essentially stock Android. There’s absolutely no reason that shouldn’t be upgraded at least to 1.6, in my humble opinion.
The early May time frame is in tune with what we’ve heard the third-largest U.S. carrier say before, so let’s keep on them to make sure they pull this off.
