SPB Software is bringing its SPB Flash Cards language learning apps to the Android platform. There are a total of 15 apps released, each dedicated to a different language — including English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Czech, Polish, Swedish and Finnish.
As you may know from our description of the Windows Mobile version, SPB Flash Cards features 5 different learning modes and more than a thousand words spurred across 65 sections such as Food, Transport and Clothes. If that’s not good enough for you, there is always an option to create your own cards on SPB website.
As for the requirements and pricing, your phone must run Android 1.5 (meaning pretty much any Android device will work) and then you have to be willing to pour out $4.95 for each of the SPB Flash Cards apps you want to buy. If that sounds compelling enough for you, search for “SPB Flash” in the Android Market and take it from there.
