T-Mobile USA sent us a short email saying they’re focused on the “aggressive rollout” of their high speed HSPA+ network. At the moment, the Deutsche Telekom-owned carrier has more than a dozen HSPA+ ready devices, with two more becoming available next month – the Garminfone and T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide. In fact, the majority of smartphones offered by T-Mobile will automatically get faster without having to upgrade.
Currently, T-Mobile HSPA+ is available in Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey and suburban Washington DC, with several more markets, Los Angeles included, expected to go live very soon.
Looking forward, the carrier wants to cover more than 100 major metro areas and 185 million people by the end of the year with HSPA+!
