Twitterrific for iPad Updated to Version 1.1

Twitterrific has been my Twitter client of choice for a LONG time now on the iPhone. It’s easy to use, looks great, and heck, it’s just plain good stuff. After having purchased my first iPad a few weeks back, one of the first apps I loaded on to my new ‘magical’ device was Twitterrific. I had heard good things, and wanted to give it a spin. I wasn’t disappointed.

The larger screen of the iPad makes for a much more enjoyable experience. I found myself reading more of the stories, checking out more photos, and generally interacting more with those on my feed. The enhanced space really does make it more enjoyable to read the stories people post (links, pictures, videos pop open in a nice, big built-in browser), and so far, I have to give it two thumbs up.

With that in mind, I just wanted to notify you all that a new version of Twitterrific is available for the iPad. Version 1.1 for iPad is now up-for-grabs, and it brings a whackload of new features, including:

  • Support for picture and video uploading
  • Support for custom image upload services
  • Image URLs from Img.ly and Tweetphoto now appear in popovers
  • Twitterrific now uses OAuth
  • Reply all (by default)

A number of other improvements and bug fixes have been included as well, making this a much welcomed update. If you’re an iPad user that uses Twitterrific, I’d love to hear from you. What are your favorite features? Is there anything missing from the app that you’d like to see built-in? Let me know!

You can download Twitterrific for iPad for free, but it is ad supported (not a huge deal, the ads aren’t intrusive). If you want to drop the ads you can upgrade to the premium version in-app.
