The London Evening Standard is going mobile in partnership with Handmark. The new mobile news application has been made to work across platforms, including the iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Mobile and touch-enabled Symbian S60 5th Edition.
Using London Evening Standard’s app, users can easily browse through news categories, including Business, Sport, Showbiz, and Life and Style, with corresponding photos. Each of the articles can be saved for later reading and easily shared via email and various social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook.
For the endeavor, Handmark relied on its Mobile Publishing Platform, which is already used by a number of other media companies.
If you remember, at the end of last year, Handmark wowed to mobile-ize more than 500 news publishers in 2010 and they seem to stick to that plan.
