Forbes: Several thousand employees at Nokia offices in the Finnish cities of Tampere and Oulo have this afternoon walked out in protest against the mobile phone maker’s employment practices, the Finnish Confederation of Salaried Employees (STTK) said. February 22, 2007 by Stefan Constantinescu - 1 Comment

Engadget Mobile: Do you believe that mobile carriers are to controlling in the actual design (hardware and software) of cellular handsets these days? If so, you’ll probably love an opinion paper by Columbia law professor Timothy Wu. Wu suggests that cellphone design and innovation is being inhibited by cellular service providers. We all know why…

Using a Bluetooth headset eliminates the mechanical noise in the N93i from showing up on recordings

February 22, 2007 by Stefan Constantinescu - 1 Comment

Great idea but I don’t see how practical this can be. The recording would pretty much be centered around your voice only. Mazor gives us all the details and a demo video below:                  Via: WOM World

Video: Demo of System Rush on the Nokia N95

February 22, 2007 by Stefan Constantinescu - Leave a Comment

I play this on my N93i all the time! Think Wipeout on a cell phone. I never win and usually die with in 5 minutes. Those 5 minutes however … are seizure inducing. I wish System Rush had multiplayer support, then I could play Symbian Freak!

Video: Nokia N93 vs N95 vs E90 recording quality

February 22, 2007 by Stefan Constantinescu - 1 Comment

Steve does a great job comparing 3 of Nokia’s flagship models when it comes to the quality of the video they produce. Of note is the fact the E90 doesn’t record at 30 frames per second just yet. It will when it ships hopefully. Steve reminds us: "Don’t read too much into this test –…

February 22, 2007 by Stefan Constantinescu - Leave a Comment

I wrote about this earlier but apparently misread. Every Nokia device released running S60 uses a TI processor. Renesas, a company out of Japan, recently demonstrated S60 3rd Edition running on their SH-Mobile processor. That’s huge news folks. The official press release goes in to much more detail and actually has some interesting material on…
