November 12, 2007 by Stefan Constantinescu - 11 Comments

Watching video 2 of “Androidology” called “Application Lifecycle” and this guy is basically saying you can’t multitask. Applications run similar to what the Palm OS had going for it a decade ago. There is no task switcher because that isn’t how Android works. I’m a bit disappointed and I hope I’m proved wrong.

November 12, 2007 by Stefan Constantinescu - 4 Comments

I’m sure you’ve already read the quotes (here and here), but it is a completely different experiance watching their facial expressions. Steve looked relaxed, calm and unnerved. Nigel on the other hand looked a little bit tense. Now admittingly it could have been an upset stomach, jetlag, a multitude of things, but a mans face…

November 8, 2007 by Dusan Belic - 3 Comments

Following Google’s announcement of their Android platform and the overall Open Handset initiative, media was interested to hear from other industry leaders their thoughts. Apparently, Symbian is not afraid of Google even arguing they’ve already seen this kind of initiatives taking place in the past. Commenting on Android, Symbian’s VP of strategy John Forsyth said:…
