Korean Chosun brings the story that Samsung is set to unveil its new S60 phone – SGH-i520 – at the Symbian Smartphone Show which starts tomorrow. Apparently, the SGH-i520 would be a HSDPA device running on Symbian 9.2/S60 3.1, just like the N95.
No news whether it will have a built in GPS and/or WLAN. However, at 17.9 mm thick, new Samsung’s handset is the slimmest among available slide-phones, comes with a 2.3 inch LCD screen and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
I’ve sent an email to Samsung’s UK division and hope to get an answer. Keep your eyes open as we’re most likely to see Samsung returning to the Symbian ecosystem.
