Mobile phones have evolved into a mature media platform capable of
much more than just making calls or processing textual data. Nokia, as
one of the largest mobile phone manufacturers, is empowering developers
with APIs for the mobile platform.

Nokia is now the number one
digital camera manufacturer in the world, due to massive success of
camera phones. Fueled by the rollout of new mobile technologies such as
3G networks, smart phone adoption is over 50 million units sold, and
mobile telephony is a 59 billion dollar industry.

Nokia is eager
to empower the emerging developer ecosystem around 3G, VoIP and open
source, to meet the demands of multimedia, enterprise and e-commerce
markets. As subscriptions to mobile services continue to skyrocket,
Raju examines where the mobile developer ecosystem is now, and what is
in store for this exciting market.

This is an old podcast, from January, but that’s irrelevant. Good content will always be good content, and this is definitely a good listen. I would love to sit down with this guy for an hour and exchange ideas.
