Phonified TrackerPhonified, a developer of data applications for cell phones, has announced the launch of Phonified Tracker, which allows mobile access to the 37signals’ Basecamp project collaboration tool. The new applications gives users an ability to track and coordinate their group projects from their phones without having to use a computer.

For those not familiar, 37signals’ Basecamp is one of the most popular online collaboration tools and is currently used by more than 500,000 users.

Users of Phonified Tracker can check their To-do lists, and can create or complete tasks from their mobile devices, and the changes are immediately shared with the team through the Basecamp server. Phonified Tracker also lets subscribers post, read, and edit messages, supporting simple formatting commands for emphasis and for lists, and can comment on their own or other team member’s posts. Users can track project milestones including due date and completion status, and can review To-do lists associated with a milestone. For Plus, Premium and Max Basecamp account holders, users can track time conveniently from mobile phones as they start and complete tasks, rather than having to remember and update information later.

Phonified Tracker requires a Basecamp account, a wireless data plan, and a recent phone model. Phonified Tracker currently supports Nokia S60 (Series 60) phones, BlackBerry devices, Palm Treos, and Windows Mobile phones.
