Now I know a few administrators who have to deal with Novell (poor souls), so this should be very welcoming to them. Anyone in this closed beta who wants to send me some screenshots?

Omni Technology Solutions is pleased to announce its closed beta programme for Nokia Eseries Smart Phones. Omni’s GroupWise wireless email solution, Omni Mobile, delivers support for Windows Mobile 5 Smart Phones and PDAs; Nokia Series 60; Palm OS; Pocket PC ;and, Sony Ericsson Smart Phones – NO Windows server required!

"Omni Mobile 2.3 will provide full support for Nokia Eseries phones," said Aldo Zanoni, CEO and Managing Director for Omni. "GroupWise users interested in participating in the closed beta are asked to send an email to aldo@omni-ts.com with the IMEI number of the device(s) to be tested and the version of GroupWise WebAccess being used. With the addition of Nokia Eseries device support, Omni Mobile will deliver GroupWise wireless access to a new series of exciting new Nokia phones. Click here for the full list of supported Nokia version 3 devices."

Omni Mobile provides more than just PIM synchronization. It provides a complete on-line and off-line GroupWise caching client for mobile devices. Its native GroupWise interface leads to quick user adoption and high user satisfaction. Omni Mobile’s server module installs on customers’ existing Novell NetWare, Linux or Windows servers.

"Omni Mobile customers appreciate the simplicity of Omni Mobile and the fact that it installs directly on their existing GroupWise servers," continued Aldo. "Unlike other GroupWise wireless email solutions that provide PIM synchronization, Omni Mobile does not require that a Windows server be installed as the mobile gateway. Omni Mobile delivers a unique and substantial value proposition because it leverages customers’ existing GroupWise investments in Novell NetWare, SUSE Linux or Microsoft Windows servers. There are no additional firewall configuration requirements, no additional protocols to configure, no external databases to manage, and no additional backup, anti-virus or server patching requirements."
