I was reading this horrible 2 page article at Business Week that is basically a copy and paste job of every piece of information released in 2006 regarding Nokia when I came upon this little nugget of gold:

In this area, too, design will play a key role. "We’re seeing some new form factors," in e-mail-capable handsets, says McDowell. "Everything will be getting sleeker. There will be more color, rather than just basic black." For example there will be a red E61, which is Nokia’s BlackBerry-like device. Business phones will be increasingly equipped with more options normally associated with consumer phones, such as MP3 players and cameras.

Looks like they’re trying to do what Palm is doing with the 680. Ironically when I was in the market for my next smart phone I was considering a red Treo 680. Something about that color just makes me feel good inside. Personally I would’ve preferred they release a black E61, like the orgasmic looking black Nokia E50.

That is way cool! I missed that little gold nugget. You’ve got sharp eyes my friend. As you know I am a BIG fan of colour. These devices become an extension of ourselves and as such it is only naturally that they also are a fashion statement.
