Check it QWERTY geeks, we’ve got a trio of clandestine snaps of Nokia’s oft rumored, but never seen E90 communicator. As you can see from the pics, the E90 does indeed pack a dual-hinge allowing it to open like a 9500 or fold-up flat like the 9300. And while you’re checkin’ the cameraphone snaps, know this: according to our new best friend and source — "Brando" — it does indeed pump S60 at its core and boasts a solid 3.2 megapixel cam. But damn, you see that bigazz main display? Could that be the rumored 800 x 352 pixel resolution? We’ll know soon enough — 3GSM is next week where we’re pretty sure this will see an official launch.

Update: A bit more detail: HSDPA (yes), GPS (no), quad-band GSM (yes), WiFi (of course), internal display (800 x 352), external display (240 x 320). Both screens support 16 million colors and all applications can run on either screen — launch an app on the external display, open and continue working with a massive increase in pixel-estate.

Amazing! Wow! Speechless! I need to let this settle in. I also need better quality images to surface. With less than 70 hours until 3GSM I was certainly not expecting this. Right now I can tell you this much: I’m awfully upset they choose to use shiny metal accents. The E series is about class, not bling. No GPS is also a huge disappointment. I’ll hold my breathe until better pictures and official specs get released.

Now on to the best part:

Finally!!!Cant wait to see (official) high-res pictures. Looks really “stylish” and kind of simple, in fact we know that this device gonna rock :)

  • lutzs

    weight would be really interesting.

  • Stefan Constantinescu

i don’t care about the weight, the style is what is putting me off

  • Viipottaja

Regarding style, 1) let’s see the final version and preferably with our own eyes in a store before judging 2) even if its not the most stylish phone, the spec sheet seems just amazing, so a little flaw in style would be completely irrelevant in my books.

cant wait for it to come out! this has been the divice ive been waiting for, now when at school i dont need to carry around my lappy! i hope there are communicator specific programs on the phone. i heard that it might have 124mb of ram!! what a monster. the weight wouldnt be a problem, man if style is putting you off this phone, then does the ram put you off the n95? for functionality over style anyday!

  • gferrero

The man with that phone has to be a Finn. Nobody would wear white socks with dark shoes ;-)

I’m looking forward to seeing the announcement of the new communicator!
