Toshiba’s E90 competitor sure packs a punch

I usually don’t write about the competition.

Why? I don’t want to turn in to a cell phone blog. Let someone else do that.

However, the spec sheet for this thing has left my mouth literally watering:

  • Built-in fingerprint sensor
  • A handset with large touch screen powered by Windows Mobile 6
  • Panoramic display with resolution of 800×400 pixels
  • miniSD card slot
  • Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g
  • USB host feature
  • 2 cameras, one for video calling and the second one for taking photos (2 megapixel)
  • 64 MB internal memory
  • slide-out QWERTY keyboard

Sigh … no GPS :(

People are saying good things about Windows Mobile 6, I’ll have to wait on some reviews for that. I am wondering, is this Hitachi’s 2.9 inch 800×400 screen, the one I’ve been talking about for over 2 months?

(It probably is)

I’ll wait until press quality shots are released of both the E90 and G900 (on the right) but so far … I’m digging the Toshiba more. From a purely aesthetical view:

Nah, that large touch screen seems to attract horrendous fingerprints!
    8-)

But the resolution and compactness coupled with the fact that you have a touch screen OS score some huge points.
