Symbian vs Windows Mobile

You smell that? That’s the smell of a freshly baked geek-off. I love those! I like the N95 too…all hail the Nokia N95. But I really hope my WinMo handsets don’t decide to stop offering that beautifully huge touchscreen. I just can’t see myself trying to get around without even a qwerty keyboard.

Here’s the real story, folks. With a fresh new Windows Mobile 6.0 already out in the wild, we will be seeing the next generation of WinMo based smartphones getting better feature sets. Of course I would rather you didn’t dwell on the specs of that new Dopod (there’s gotta be something for everyone, afterall), just avert your eyes to the Asus P526 and HTC Kaiser.

For one thing, I limited my Top 5 list to those phones currently on the market. Not something that will be out in the near future. So the HTC Tytn really is the best there is…for now. Fast forward to the later part of this year and we will see the new king-of-the-hill with the release of the HTC Kaiser. Talk about features, it has GPS, 3MP camera, qwerty keyboard, HUGE screen, WiFi, and a touchscreen…did I mention the qwerty keyboard and touchscreen? The Kaiser will sport all kinds of 3G radios for FULL high speed uplink and downlink compatibility on any network in the world.
