Just what we’ve all been wishing for. Advertising on our mobile phones! It can’t get much better than this. It’s such a relief, not having to worry about going without an ad for whole minutes at a time. Come Tuesday, Yahoo! will start offering new tools through its Yahoo Mobile Publisher Service.
Web publishers interested in attracting mobile phone users can use this “suite of services to place targeted advertisements in response to searches consumers perform on mobile Web browsers.” MobiTV, Opera, and Go2 are already on board as part of the Yahoo Mobile Ad Network, with Yahoo looking to add more publishers to its network in the coming months. Apparently, “ad quality” will remain “high.” Oh, happy day.
