Mobile Review is taking the All About Symbian approach at reviewing the N95 by splitting it up into pieces.

Todays article focuses on the music playing capabilities of Nokia’s newest flagship.

Snippets:

  • "The headphones that come boxed with the N95 are not in the running for
the best-sounding earphones around, being inferior both to those coming
with Nokia 3250 and Nokia N91." $750 phone and they can’t even throw in a decent set of cans?
  • They made an error and said the N95 will support memory cards larger than 2 GB. Unless a firmware upgrade happens to enable HC support, you won’t be getting past that 2 GB wall.
  • Most disappointing quote ever: "The sonic experience delivered by Nokia N95 loses to that of Nokia N91
and loses by a mile. They don’t even stay close to each other – Nokia
    N91 outputs much sweeter sounding."
  • As if stabbing me wasn’t good enough, they had to twist the knife: "But if you are after superb sound quality, this handset will hardly fit your needs."

I take my audio quality very seriously. I wonder how good the 5700 will be now.

It does have a "dedicated audio processor" after all!

    2 things worth noting:
-there are people who got their hands on sandisks 4gb microsd engineering sample, and they said it worked fine in a n95
-eldar, the person who reviewed it, is well known to criticize nokia’s offerings more than other manufacturer’s

  • EldarMurtazin

Yeah, after all Nokia fans could insist that N95 is the best audio device. I dont care :) And i will show it with a really big and comprehensiva analysis of audio output for different devices :)

  • Omr

Eldar is well known to be Sony Ericsson Fanboy, bashing every other Nokia, so I don’t understand, it is really necessary to quote his useless revies here?

  • Stefan Constantinescu

    Can’t wait Eldar!

I think his reviews are fair to be perfectly honest with you guys.
