RIM and Tmobile announce launch of BlackBerry 8800 on April 23 for TmobileWe got word today that the long-awaited RIM BlackBerry 8800 will be launching on T-mobile come this Monday, April 23. Th3 Pearl-esque 8800 exudes the same sleek style of its predecessor but packs in that wonderfully full qwerty keyboard. No more double-tapping those half-keys to shoot out that business email! And, the built-in GPS functionality – confirmed in the press release – makes htis the first and only Tmo handset to rock GPS guts.

As we expected, the feature set is nice and robust – quad-band GSM (of course), media playback, microSD slot, Bluetooth 2.0, instant messaging, that beautiful pearl-ball, and the full qwerty keyboard. If that piques your interest, check out the BlackBerry 8800 on T-mobile’s website on Monday, as retail stores will not be carrying the phone for some time.
