Apple say iPhone and AppleTV to get FREE applications and software features

Apple says they will offer free software feature and applications for iPhone and AppleTVApple has announced their Q2 financial results, and they’re lookin’ good. Year-on-year growth of 34%, $885 million in profits and $12 billion in cash are nice numbers, by any measure. But, the numbers are not what interests us here. As almost an answer to our concerns over Apple’s iPhone (with that notoriously closed system) being used in enterprise applications, Apple announces that they are developing various applications and software features that will be offered as free upgrades to the Apple iPhone – as well as the AppleTV (Apple’s other closed system). We’ll hold off on getting too excited just yet, as we don’t know exactly what applications and software features are being developed – but, if Apple is working on more enterprise solutions for the Apple iPhone, we’re gonna see a lot of analysts and bloggers (yours truly, included) having a feast of their own words.
