Nice clips, although I dont know why someone of Eldar’s standing in the mobile community would film with a bright window behind him which completely obscures the display.

Let met start by saying I’m a Nokia fanatic, but they’ve been slow with releases lately, and I’m wanting to get a phone sooner rather than later.

After all my waiting, the N95 seems to be a letdown in the battery life department. And I also think Nokia is really behind the game by not having touch yet. I live in China, and one of the most important features to me would be handwriting recognition for characters– something Nokia had in the 6108 and 3208 (I think), but for some reason decided wasn’t worth pursuing anymore.

So, while I want to wait for the E90, seeing that it doesn’t even have arrow keys makes me think that navigation will be a big PITA. There are other solutions matching E90 already on the market (Eten Golfiish M700). And then there will be Apple’s iPhone which will actually have touch. Before moving to China, that wasn’t an important feature to me, and I would have said N95 > iPhone anyday– but after playing with my friend’s Motorola A1100R as a pocket dictionary, I really want touch– I ALSO want qwerty– and a phone that doesn’t suck (the motorola does).

If Nokia has any tricks up their sleeves it would be nice to hear from them before I’m forced to shop elsewhere…

Why oh why can’t someone just give me a thicker N95 with touch, using the added thickness for extra battery life. Or an E90 with touch.

To add to my comment, I was under the impression the Golfiish didn’t have touch– but after reading the user manual, it does seem to have touch as well. It looks like there’s really not much question now about what phone would be best to buy at this point… (GPS/Wifi/Touch/QWERTY/Bluetooth2/Quad Band GSM/EDGE) I suppose lacking WCDMA/UMTS could be seen as a fault to many– but I probably don’t have access to those networks anyway, and there are public wifi access points scattered all over this city (Shanghai). Sorry Nokia, I really wanted to buy an E or N series… :(
