Anyone looking to sponsor Ring Nokia?

I would love to blog more. Trust me I really want to, but I also need to work. I can not purchase or create more hours in my day and because of this I’m not slurping up 150+ RSS feeds to bring you guys the best of the best with added commentary at the ferocious pace I know I’m capable of.

I have an idea in the back of my mind, Project Finland, where I could begin blogging from the country that Nokia calls home. It would involve one really long flight, a studio apartment in Helsinki and a new laptop.

I’m just throwing this idea out there to see if anyone or any company is interested.

Am I a dreamer? You bet, dream big and follow you heart.

You will only find glory.

Update: Carol just sent me an email telling me that my post lacks substance, geekonimus posted a comment asking for logistical reasons why anyone would want to do this. I completely agree with the both of you. I just wanted to mention something I’ve been thinking about for a long time, post the idea and gauge responses.

I’ll do a complete write up with proposal, budgets, etc once I get home.

Stefan Constantinescu

Stefan Constantinescu (@WhatTheBit on Twitter) has loved technology since as far back as he can remember. It started with computers, but in the past few years his passion has turned to mobile devices. As a mobile phone enthusiast who lives and breathes devices that connect to the internet, he knows he is not alone with this radical fascination of all things wireless. He is strongly opinionated and enjoys a good debate so leave comments in his posts and he’ll get back to you! Stefan began blogging as a hobby in the fall of 2006 and joined IntoMobile in the summer of 2007. Later he got a job at Nokia in March 2008, but as of June 2009 he has rejoined the IntoMobile team. He is currently based out of Helsinki, Finland.

This is quite a fascinating development.

Give me 2 very good reasons why anyone would do this for you?

I would like to see this happen. As Finnish engineer, I am quite amazed why Nokia has hit this mobility success. I am often doing long dinner talks with fellow peoples from abroad how they see us here in Finland.

I think we could use some outside opinion for this, I vote for yes ;)

At least you’d be 5+ hours ahead of the rest of the US based bloggers… ;-)

Get Nokia to sponsor you? I can think of two ways it could benefit them:
    1. You report on information given to you by them; press releases and the like. This would help build company-consumer relations with you as the friendly medium.
    2. They get to hear feedback on what the community wants from someone actually part of the community. I know they do all sorts of market research and the s60.com site kinda serves this purpose, but I think that you would do a much better job of it.
Just my thoughts… oh, and keep up the good work!

and one more free advice: try to congregate interesting posts from various nokia workers blogs. you’ll be without any competition, I think…
