Cell Phone Charm detects harmful UV levels

We know, there’s a lot to worry about when you use your cell phone. Will the bee-killing radiation give you ear cancer? Will you go over your alloted minutes? Are you annoying the people around you with your obnoxious and loud conversation? (well, at least you should be asking yourself that last question). Now there’s something else to worry about – how much UV radiation you’re getting exposed. The harmful ultra-violet portion of the Sun’s spectrum can cause skin cancer and make you look prematurely old. But, wait! There’s hope! This new cell phone charm will change colors based on how much UV light it is exposed to. The beads start off as white in color, and changed to indicate UV levels. That’s great, since we keep our mobile phones out in the open – where sunlight can reach it (we wanna make sure our mobile phones are getting their daily dose of Vitamin D).
