Business Week has an article about Nokia’s efforts to sell their devices to the poorest and remote regions of India.

Throw a few sub woofers in there and you’ll have a partymobile.

I am from India and would never recommend a Nokia.
Its got the worst service of all of the hand set companies in India.
Even after 3 rounds to the repair centre, my nokia phone is till not working.
Its a common feature here, with more people standing in lines for second/third time repair after their handset is not repaired the first time itself.

Aarushi, did it occur to you that that Nokia has about 60-70% market share in India? That means they sell hundreds of millions of headsets >> ALL manufacturers have defective devices >> even a small fraction of defective ones out of hundeds of millions is bound to lead to lines and not everyone getting stellar service.
