BostonIrishGuy, the same guy who brought us pictures of the Nokia N75 and N76 sent me an email this morning:

Hi Stefan,

A friend of mine sent me these. Someone offered to sell him 2 protos,
one used and one new. The only details I know are that this individual
is in the San Diego area, and the protos were offered at $700 and
$800.

    It’s absolutely incredible how classy, elegant and stylish does the 8850 look even in these days of cutting-edge multimedia smartphones…. it was the first thing that my eye catched when looking at the first picture……

    I think the 8850 it’s a device that every SERIOUS nokia fan should have, and its unique design has never probably been beated by any other Nokia phone…..if you never desired to have one back in the days it was released, then you should better turn your head to those phones with an “M” shaped logo on its cover :]

    By the way, the new 8600 looks also nice and classy, but the lack of Symbian OS, automatically leave this phone far from being desireable.
