Sony Ericsson W52S unannounced walkman phoneWow, Sony Ericsson is really on a roll here. First they announce all those slick new phones, including the incredible Sony Ericsson P1, then we spied some info on a possible Shinobu (we love that codename!) Walkman Phone prototype, then we get notice that the FCC has passed the Sony Ericsson M610i (Lizy) for US duty, and now there’s this new spy pic (thanks to Esato forums user XUMDEO, via Just Another Mobile Phone Blog) of the Sony Ericsson W52S – the unannounced Walkman Phone (yes, another one). The W52S rocks a slider form factor with 2GB of internal storage, a microSD (and MemoryStick Duo Pro – just give it up already, Sony), and 2MP autofocus shooter. Don’t expect the camera on this sucker to be anything better than decent (it isn’t Cyber-Shot branded), but do expect a nifty “pill-shape” and huge screen! We should see an announcement in about a week, or something like that…

    Does anybody knows it will be JP-7 or JP-8 phone?

  • Will Park

    We can’t be sure, but we can speculate. With the first JP-8 phone recently being released (SE Z750), and the fact that the previous Walkman Phone SE W900i was a JP-7 phone – we’re hoping that the W52S is going to rock JP-8

    JP= Java Platform
