Tech of Australia releases the M500 sms watch phone with touchscreen and gsm tri bandA while ago, we brought you the M500 wristwatch phone from Tech of Australia. As expected, from the FCC filing, the watch phone rocks a tri quad-band (850/900/1800/1900 Mhz) GSM radio, Bluetooth, MP3 and MP4 player (for audio as well as video playback), and a surprising 3 hour 20 minute talktime with 80 hours of standby! Another surprise is the 1.5 inch 120 x 160 pixel touchscreen, with a built-in stylus in the water-resistant body.

The watch is available now for about $820 ($1,000 AUS), but only 500 pieces will be made.

  • SMS TECH

Anything that has to do with SMS Tech selling the mobile watch M300, M500 or anything else in the future is false as they charge your crdit card and never deliver on the goods. This company is stealing from everyone and you should know they’ll do the same to you.

  • tramaluk

well i thought that way once about them, but now i know they are on the ball ,MMW /SMS have gotten their act together and the goods online, internet customers are recieving their tracking orders now,and the cell watches are being shipped out at last

  • James

My friend and I ordered 2 each of the M500 from SMS and 8 months later those bastards sent us our orders and none of them work! NONE!

  • Chad

 Hey I just bought my M800 today! I also purchased the WATCH-ET wristwatch protector also. I can’t wait to get both. Later!

  • Javier

I got my M500 after waiting 11 months (they said delivery in 7 days) and guess what??? the watch falls apart! It’s a “PLASTIC” case and it keeps wanting to come off and the stylus never stays in the strap plus the speakerphone does not wotk plus the screen has major dead pixels!

Oh by the way, you can forget about support as no one replies to E-mails nor do they ever answer the phones.

Bottom line is that I got took for $1,000!!!

  • joe

SMS TECHNOLOGY is a scam company run by couple of Scam artists. Do NOT buy any products from this company. Don’t waste your money or time. Mobile Watch M500 is a fake piss of crap. Has no functional use and does not deliver on %95 of the things they promise.

Completely useless peice of junk even if you do happen to have received it after 9 months.

This company closed their “virtual office” in Brisbane and have moved everything to China so they can not be sued. This company should be reported to ASIC and their australian registration cancelled.

TOTAL SCAM! WATCHOUT! – EDITORS PLEASE FOLLOW THIS UP AND GET SOME PEOPLE LOOKING INTO THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE RIPPING PPLE OFF!

  • TJ

 ……. the m500 is sweet hey, never had a problem with it. I had the m800 which i think everyone is talking about, thats the toy watch phone, its huge, crap…now that was a waste of money. SMS tech is alright, i ordered and 4 weeks later I got it, its fine………..hats off 2 sms tech

  • JT

I ordered mine June 2007 and when I ordered it they stated that 7 days guarantee. Well long and behold I got it almost 8 months later I got it yesterday.

They pruduct is cheap and flimsy. The stylus doesn’t even stay in the holder, and the screen has about 18 dead spots wich makes it impossible to read anything plus the fact that the speakerphone nor the mic work.

So when anyone posts positive things about this company and its products and can’t say enough good things about them, it should raise a red flag.

I will try and get a refund from sms tech but this company has a history of not returning phone calls nor E-mails.

    SMS Tech is a scam.

  • Kathy

  • GAV

I’m sorry to hear that Kathy  but you’re not alone as I was screwed as well by SMS Tech. If you Google them you will see that hundreds of people got taken by this company.
