Nokia in ChinaNokia introduced two mobile Internet services serving Chinese consumers: WidSets – mobile widgets service that recently got its millionth user registered, and Mobiledu – China’s first interactive mobile learning service. While we’ve already wrote about WidSets, we’ll focus our attention on Mobiledu.

Nokia’s new mobile learning service integrates teaching material from a variety of educational organizations and fully leverages the capabilities of mobile Internet, thus making interactive learning available anywhere, anytime. The Mobiledu also has the online component from where users can obtain the latest learning content updates and study in groups.

As mentioned, the program is supported and endorsed by various reputable education providers, including Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, New Oriental Education, Dell English, 21st Century, and Trends Group. Furthermore, the Mobiledu program covers the highly demanded TOEFL and GRE vocabulary, provides practice exams, and includes trendy cultural content on subjects such as fashion, cosmetics, sports, and health.

Like WidSets, Mobiledu is not made just for smartphone users — it works on most Nokia Series 40 and S60 platform based mobile phones and all other mobile phones that support KJava applications.
