Acer may have a Ferrari, but Asus has a Mercedes-Benz smartphone. Actually this is the same as the original P526 handset, just it comes with a leather Mercedes-Benz matching case and I guess the appropriate theme.

In terms of specs, the Asus P526 features 2.6″ QVGA touchscreen, Bluetooth, WiFi, built-in GPS, microSD expansion slot, and a 2 MP camera. Furthermore, it runs latest version of Windows Mobile, and has dimensions of 110x58x15.4 mm and weight of 115 g.

The way I see it, Asus P526 is appealing enough even without the Mercedes’ logo. However, by partnering with the German automaker, Asus may broaden its reach to non-smartphone users. This time I wouldn’t pay a premium for the logo. (via: jamp)
