Office Mobile update with support for Office 2007 XML documents coming soon

Office MobileDuring the Computex Taiwan, Microsoft announced that it will release an update for its Office Mobile 2006, allowing users to open documents created with the new Office 2007 XML formats. The updated version will also bring the support for fax, that was lacking in the previous versions.

The update will be available for Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC Phone Edition and Windows Mobile 6 all editions users. It is still not clear whether the update will change the name of the Office Mobile to 2007, but we know that the future devices will come with this version preinstalled. (via: the:unwired)
