Nokia USA website relaunched, selling a lot of unlocked devices

Point your browser to nokiausa.com because it looks completely different right about now. The rumor I got about a site relaunch was partially accurate, just 1 week off. It certainly looks cleaner, less Flash is always a good thing and best of all you can buy unlocked devices! The N95, E61 and E50 are some notable devices, but only Dell has the newer sleeker E61i in stock.

Is this a new direction for Nokia? Are they saying piss off to the operators and selling directly to consumers? I certainly hope so, but they need to have the complete E and N Series up there for me to be fully impressed.

I’m confused – you’ve always been able to buy unlocked devices from NokiaUSA. And their selection still looks about as mediocre as it has always been.
