Apple may be licensing Microsoft Exchange Active Sync to power Direct Push email on iPhoneWhen we put our ear to the ground, we usually hear some interesting stuff. For example, the latest bit of hearsay has it that Apple has licensed Microsoft’s Exchange Active Sync for the soon-to-be-launched Apple iPhone. What does this mean? Well, basically, if you are lucky enough to have the support of a Microsoft Exchange Server, you may be able to get email pushed to your iPhone! That’s right, with Exchange Active Sync, the iPhone will be able to support Microsoft’s Direct Push technology – enabling BlackBerry-like email addiction.

According to WinBeta.org, Microsoft is supposedly going to announce the licensing of their Exchange Active Sync soon, so keep your eyes on us – we’ll keep our ears to the ground (or grapevine, whichever you prefer).
