GlideThe first complete online OS just added the iPhone to its list of supported mobile phones. Now, thanks to Glide Mobile, iPhone users can enjoy all the benefits of the hosted OS — including file sharing, address book and calendar synchronization and backup. Furthermore, Glide Mobile users can create and edit documents and convert them to PDF, Word and RTF formats, edit and convert their photos and order prints, email any number of files of any size directly from their handsets, and even access their desktop computers’ files… All this is available for free along with the 2GBs of storage. Additional 10GBs cost $49.95 a year for a total of 12GBs of storage…

I’ve spent short time testing out Glide Mobile and found it quite interesting, yet not that easy to use on a small screen. Still, I can imagine that using it on the iPhone’s wide 3.5″ screen must be completely different (better) experience. If anyone of you decides to try out Glide Mobile on the iPhone, please feel free to drop us a comment — so we all know how it works…

UPDATE: It seems that some iPhone users have experienced problems accessing Glide. If you’ve been using the online mobile OS on your iPhone please drop us a comment — does it work for you?

I Just got my iPhone and even before I had a chance to load it with songs I was able to play my music collection in Glide Mobile… Very cool and sounds great. Picture viewing is cool too. You can expand and zoom pictures with your fingers in Glide the same way you can with pictures loaded right on the phone… pretty seamless… I will post more when I have had a chance to play around more.

Have not synced my iMac yet but if you click on Glide Mobile’s search button they seem to have a good amount of music and other stuff. It is also cool to be able to share media from your Phone and to me this seems to be Glide’s most useful feature.
