It’s not exactly Marlboro – it’s Marlbara, but sounds familiar enough for smokers in China — and Philip Morris’ lawyers for that matter…

Anyway, this isn’t the first cigarette pack phone we’ve seen. However, the Marlbara phone is slightly better than the previous one we’ve talked about. This device is a fully working phone and also a safe place for cigarettes — there’s a detachable compartment that can take up to 7 cigarettes. In terms of specs, the Marlbara phone sports a dual-band GSM/GPRS radio, 178×220 1.5″ screen, 1.3″ MP camera, microSD expansion slot and stereo speakers. The box also contains gold lighter and complimentary cigarettes.

As one of our readers put it, this phone is ideal for smokers who have to carry around a box anyway – it makes for less space. Before men placed phones on restaurant tables, and now they can put down their ciggy boxes, that can make phone calls too. :)
