Third party batteries have recently taken the life of a man in China. If you really need those extra hours of use out of your Nokia N95, buy yourself a second Nokia branded battery. Be safe.

This is what I’ve been talking about since the N95 was released. Why hasn’t Nokia provided us with this option yet?

I agree- too risky to use something like this- always has been, either to your personal safety or the safety of your device.

Think we’ll see a humpback battery from Nokia anytime soon, or at all?

Maybe this will spur Nokia to release an official extended battery?

    I sure hope so!

Until then, the Proporta USB charger will keep me plenty satisfied even on the most power hungry days. With the unfolding of recent events in the APAC market- I’m just gonna keep me and my N95 safe until Nokia comes out with something official.

Nokia, PLEASE build this for the entire N series! The battery life on my N75 is ridiculous! I desperately need one of these or the phone goes away…sad, because it is a great phone except for battery life.
