Somehow we all waited for this to happen. After all, if Sony uses its popular brands like Walkman, Cybershot and Bravia for Sony Ericsson handsets, why wouldn’t Lenovo use the famous Thinkpad brand for its phones.

While there is no official “Thinkpad” logo, The Lenovo P768 clearly suggests it is heavily influenced by the Thinkpad style — the device is almost totally black and has that famous red dot for navigation. In terms of specs, the P768 is a solid mid-range device boasting such features as 2″ 260K color 176×220 screen, 2 MP camera, FM radio, stereo Bluetooth and the microSD expansion slot. I guess music will be the key selling point of this device, as I can’t imagine watching any video on the 176×220 screen.
At the moment, we don’t know whether the Thinkpad phone will ever be available outside of Chinese borders.
Two more photos after the break.
