Blobs Wiz and Waz are the stars of Eidos’ new action puzzler – SolaRola. Featuring 25 levels, a soundtrack with 7 original The Maniacs of Noise’s songs and the unique physics engine, SolaRola finds you fighting against the most ruthless force in the entire universe – Ping the Merciless (and its small hairy associates), who wants to take over the galaxy.

The storyline is Andrew S Walsh’s work, who has written stories on everything from soaps and stage through to classic console and PC games. As for graphics – don’t expect the 3D effect, but Eidos said the objects and characters could be freely scaled and rotated, enabling a number of effects and visual tools to enhance gameplay elements.

Wiz and Waz will be battling around strange planets in all weathers from September. Things are gonna get a bit blobby…
