Samsung is all about making life as convenient as possible for their customers. They’ve got fertility monitoring down. Their gaming phones are trick. Easy GPS directions? Yep, they’ve got that too.

Now, the South Korean patent application masters have come up with another cool idea. If they get their way, Samsung may soon be pushing mobile phones  with built-in cradle/kickstands. The latest patent application to surface at the USPTO shows a mobile phone whose battery can swivel out to help prop up the phone on a desk, table, or other flat surface.

The battery becomes more than just a power source, it becomes a super-functional part of the phone’s design. We like it.

We’ll see if Samsung brings something like this to market.
