Don’t you just love to see technology going way beyond the “geek realm.” Somehow, that makes me feel normal again.

Anyway, Pennsylvania’s Premier Haunted Theme Park, Shocktoberfest, recently announced the new Text2Scream attractions, allowing park visitor to interact with animated props in scare zones found throughout the park using their mobile phones. Once you’ve been scared, you’re free to join the fun and scare the shit out of next unsuspecting soul.
In addition to the scare zones, Shocktoberfest is using the same technology to allow visitors to request songs from the DJ and play group-based interactive games again using their mobile phones. Sounds like a tons of fun is waiting for you in Shocktoberfest. It’s like this is a theme park 2.0, isn’t it?
