Nokia, it’s time for black Bluetooth keyboard and a gamepad

The time has come for Nokia to release black Bluetooth keyboard. All the latest Nokia smartphones come in black, including the N81 and N95 8GB models. You may argue, those two are NSeries devices, hence with these two, Nokia is NOT targeting enterprise users who may actually need an external full-blown QWERTY keyboard. I do agree with this point, but what about the E90 Communicator. Also, the E51, E61i or E65 — Nokia’s existing white SU-8W Bluetooth keyboard standing beside these devices is, at least, an awkward picture. The black keyboard would fit way much better.

While I’m on the subject of Bluetooth accessories, we (Nokia handset users) could also use a dedicated Bluetooth gamepad. After all, if I can connect my Nokia smartphone (N93/N93i/N95/N95 8GB) to a TV set, why wouldn’t I be able to enjoy the upcoming NGage games on a gamepad? The cable that goes from a Nokia smartphone to the TV set is quite annoying when you play games this way. And to be fair, we’ve already seen some unnamed Bluetooth gamepads released, although last time I checked there were no drivers for the Symbian S60 3rd edition devices.

Sounds like a plan if you ask me. What do you say?

Great idea, and I would be astonished if the gamepad would not come out (assuming it is technically feasible to make it such that it actually works well). It would be great to have one even for gaming on the phone, as e.g. N81 keys, although great, are likely to not be that great e.g. for playing FIFA08..

    Amen brothers!

I like the idea of a black Bluetooth keybord also. And since the NGage launch will lack any real hardware, it makes sense to at least push out some cool accessories for the hardcore gamers out there. A Bluetooth game pad would be very sweet. Also, I wonder why Nokia hasn’t considered a Bluetooth remote control for the multimedia applications of the TV-out capable phones.

I’ve been using my N95 8GB along with my beige-metal SU-8W Bluetooth keyboard dreaming of a perfect match … Hope it comes soon Nokia … Great pic BTW. And I thought I loved my SU-8W the way it was, having used it for 3 years now.
