Video done by Eric from Phone Scoop.

This is a very interesting device and if it wasn’t for BlackBerry’s gain into the teenage market with the Pearl than this phone might have done well. The specifications are really dated, but then again this was not made for people who can afford a $700 Nokia N95 8 GB.

Yes the tmobile sidekick LX is behind
while every company is making phones wiht touch screens they are adding moodlights
even though i think thats pretty cool and the new screen is pretty sweet
i sort of think that a sidekick with a touchscreen would be pretty cool or that tmobile should make a phone with a touch screen becasue thats what i really want
touch screen, aim, full html browser, 3G, myspace, picture messaging and video and regular text, and possibly a keyboard?
and it would have to be pretty thin…
idk to me that would be my favorite phone

    @ joe

you are right the sidekicks are pretty much always behind technology but they are great phones. i my self have the lx. i think tmobile does have a phone with a touch screen the t-mobile wing. the sidekick lx has everthing you listed except for a touch screen, 3G (as with all tmobile phones), and video.

Well yea .. Sidekick lx should have a better camera and video recording and playback.. A touch screen.. Wifi access and 3g..a louder speaker.. Stereo bluetooth…and still have the cool features that it already has.. And maybe add a fm\am radio..and a capability to view videos on you tube.. And also the capability to get downloads of the web… and that would be the best phone… o o o and hologram videos … o o o video phone… weew that will be the best phone ever made…

The sidekick Lx and up does have Video now thanks to the OTA update. Its pretty sweet. The reason Sidekick Lx is not touch screen and my guess is they never will, is because you don’t need it. If you have ever used the sidekick it has the most user friendly interfaces available. Every application takes you no time to get there do what you have to do and close your phone. People are usually amazed at how fast I respond to something on the phone. I believe touchscreen would complicate it and make it more difficult, its just unpractical. I’ve had every sidekick to date, And yes they take there time trust me. But if people tried the sidekick for a week they would love them. Support for the device is great also.
    God Bless
