HTC logoHot on Apple’s tail, HTC has just announced their sales figures for the TouchFLO-based HTC Touch handset. The Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional-powered HTC Touch, released just this past June, has reportedly topped the 1 million-unit-mark as of the end of October, according to HTC CEO Peter Chou.

Inching ever closer to Apple’s iPhone sales figures of upwards of 1.5 million in the months following its launch, HTC has announced that it expects its HTC Touch lineup (which includes the HTC Touch, HTC Touch Dual, and HTC Touch Cruise) to hit  1.5-1.8 million units by the end of 2007. With sales projections like that, we can see why the HTC Touch is being billed as the top HTC competitor to the iPhone.

Way to go, HTC! Show Apple that they’re not the only ones that can push massive numbers for a touch-based handset in just a few months.
