iPhone tops Google's list of most-searched terms in USBrand awareness is one thing, but getting a brand to near the top of Google’s list of search terms is certainly an impressive achievement. Google’s VP of Search and User Experience, Marissa Mayer, announced the top most-searched terms in the US on the Today Show.

Here’s the list:

  1. iphone
  2. webkinz
  3. tmz
  4. transformers
  5. youtube
  6. club penguin
  7. myspace
  8. heroes
  9. facebook
  10. anna nicole smith

And, actually, a quick check of IntoMobile’s most searched terms reveals that “iPhone” is the most searched term (any search with “iPhone” in the search-string is considered an “iPhone” search). Hey Google, we’re going to make it official and confirm your list with our own data.

    iPhone is megabrand now.

Those results are clearly erroneous. I don’t see ‘intomobile’ on there anywhere.
