FCC fillings shows Samsung U550Thanks to the folks behind the Federal Communications Commission, we know Samsung is preparing to launch the CDMA-based U550 clamshell phone. The upcoming device is the successor of the U540 model, which is currently available through Verizon Wireless in the U.S.

As for the features, the U550 sports all the goodies its predecessor has — including dual screens, external touch controls, EV-DO, Bluetooth, 2.5 audio jack, camera, and the microSD expansion slot. In addition, the upcoming phone also sports stereo speakers.

Release date: unknown. Price: unknown. But then again, I doubt Verizon or whoever get to carry the U550 will make a special event out of its launch.
