In case you haven’t gotten the message yet, Apple has made their new iPhone firmware (v1.1.3) available for download through iTunes. Grab the new firmware and you’ll be gettin’ jiggy with the new Google Maps My Location, web clips, homescreen customization, multiple-contact SMS text message support, and movie-chapter navigation features in no time. Well, actually, it’ll take some time to download and install the massive update, but you get the point.

Hit up iTunes, update the software if necessary, connect your iPhone, and hit the “Update” button. Let us know how you like the new firmware, will ‘ya?
Update: Keep in mind, folks, as JohnyBruha pointed out in the comments, the iPhone v1.1.3 firmware update will completely kill any and all third-party applications! If you’ve gotten attached to your Installer.app applications, you might want to wait until some sort of jailbreak-preparation has been released – like the Oktoprep installation that allowed jailbroken v1.1.1 iPhones to be updated to v1.1.2.
Or, you can just wait for Apple to release the iPhone SDK in February and officially sanctioned third-party apps hit the market. Seeing as how Apple has already delivered the iPhone SDK into the hands of a select few developers, we should soon see at least a few third-party applications for the iPhone v1.1.3.
