Pick and choose: WiMAX or satellites, you can’t have both

During some WiMAX field trials it was discovered that significant degradation to satellite signals was occurring. Will this impact roll out in nations like the United States where there are a large number of consumers who get their television from a satellite provider? What about other satellite based services like GPS?
